A high-traffic e-commerce (Shopify) client was experiencing poor conversion rates, slow page load times, and high cart abandonment rates despite having quality products and competitive pricing. Their outdated platform lacked mobile responsiveness and had a complicated checkout process.

How did we tackle the challenge?

As a Web Developer and SEO Specialist, I led the complete redesign using Shopify and optimization of a high-traffic e-commerce platform suffering from poor conversion rates and slow performance. I conducted comprehensive UX audits and competitor analysis to identify critical pain points, then implemented responsive design principles using Bootstrap for cross-device compatibility.

The solution involved restructuring the product catalogue architecture, optimizing image delivery with WebP format and lazy loading, integrating CDN services, simplifying the checkout process from 5 steps to 3, and implementing an AI-powered recommendation engine based on browsing behaviour. Throughout the project, I set up A/B testing frameworks to continuously optimize conversion elements and ensure data-driven improvements.
